ABRA, JOHN
"Thumb" has been an ardent
football player during his five
years at Jarvis. His hobbies include
skiing and golfing. "Perhaps" the future will find him
at U. of T. or McMaster taking
Finance. John's quiet friendliness made a great many friends
at Jarvis.

ABRAMS, JACQUELINE
La petite Jacquie, who
arrived at Jarvis just two years
ago from Glebe C.I., Ottawa,
says that her hobbies are skiing,
fencing, and walking to
school? For both her years at
Jarvis, Jacquie has valuably
assisted the French Club executive.
She plans to take Soc. and
Phil. or Modern Languages at
U. of T. and after that, to be
anything but ... a teacher!

ANDRAS, JOHN ANTHONY
"Tony", who has been at
Jarvis for "years and years" has
been on the Magnet staff and
a great asset to the English
Club. After 3: 10 he enjoys
writing, drawing and music, and
he plans to take Arts at Guelph
University.

ARBIC, EDMUNDA
This "quiet" girl, better
known to some as Aidy, has
been prowling around our sacred
halls for five years. Extra curricular
activities include sewing,
gymnastics, and writing letters
(?). Her future plans include
Teachers' College and teaching
elementary school.

ASHIKAWA, LINDA
An ex-cheerleader, Linda has
always been very active at
Jarvis. Besides being Badmintan
Curator, she has been an
the Sr. Volleyball Team, participated
in all interform sports,
and last year was Grade Twelve
Rep. on the Student Council and
Upper School Badminton Champion.
Her hobbies are sewing
and badminton and her future
plans include a science course
at U. of T. and a trip to Hawaii
in 1970!

BAKHTIAR, ALI
Ali is our ambassador from
Iran. We were very glad to
have him with us for a year.
In Iran, he enjoyed hunting.
Next year he will take Electrical
Engineering at U. of T. and
eventually he will return to
Iran with his degree.

BARDEGA, VERA
Vera, quiet but friendly, came
to Jarvis from Kirkiand lake two
years ago. Her hobbies include
collecting cains, sewing and
reading. Vera is planning a
career in teaching and next
year will attend Teachers'
College.

BARRON, JENNIFER
J. B. enjoys real folk music,
slalom skiing, tennis and swimming
and all school sports. For
the past two years she has done
a terrific job as Humour Editor
of the Magnet as well as being
magnet and music rep. Jennifer
plans to major in history and
English in Soc. and Phil. next
year at U. of T.

BELL, DONALD
Don, in his first year at
Jarvis, has concentrated mainly
on his school-work and keeping
Mr, Humphries on his toes, Don
is interested in folk-singing and
skiing and seems to enjoy
(heaven forbid!) doing his homework,
Next year, Don plans to
enter medicine at U, of T.

BEHREND, HERBERT
Herb, who loves his math
classes, came to Jarvis last
year from Parkdale C.I. He
admits, hawever, that money
and girls are his main interests.
Herb plans to take Merchandising or
Advertising administration at Ryerson.

BIRTCH, SUSAN
"Birtch," a real sports-enthusiast
numbers skiing, golfing, sailing
and swimming among her
favourite hobbies, She plays the
sax in the Dance Band and
Senior Band and has participated
in all the interform sports as
well as being curator of Volleyball,
a sport which she has
boosted immensely with her
cheerful spirit. Next year Sue
plans to attend U. of T,

BISSELL, DEIRDRE MacFARLANE
"Yanif" (she must be kidding!),
descended upon us three
years ago from Bishop Strachan.
Playing the piano brilliantly (at
a grade 2 level) and giving
free psychiatric treatment to her
friends occupy her spare time.
"Yanif", this year's vice-presi-
dent of the Club Francais, hopes
to study Moderns or English at
U. of T. next year.
