Although unsuccessful in 3 of 4 starts, the
Juniors displayed great potential which should
mature next year.
They opened the season against Malvern on October 1st. Quarterback Tom Duffy dominated the scoring with a touchdown and a single. However Malvern amassed 13 points to edge the Bulldogs 13-8. The next game against Riverdale proved less successful as we were held to a scoreless afternoon. Monarch Park, however, proved to be a less formidable opponent as Wilkinson, Yosheda and McSween all scored touchdowns while Kizoff, Curtiss and Nelson |
added defensive power. The net result: 19-14
Jarvis. The final game was disastrous as Northern
shut out our team in a muddy field. However,
the record is misleading as there is great talent
yet to be developed, next year.
Congratulations to Stu McSween and Brian Curtiss, co-captains. Stu was voted most valuable player. Jarvis extends its thanks to Mr. Pearl, the coach, who gave much to the team. Many of the Juniors will move up to help out the Seniors in their title bid next year. Anne Onu, 13A |
